Easter Morning
On the first Easter our lives were reborn,
For Christ's glorious resurrection on that morn.
His blood conquered sin, His death gave life,
He suffered for us enduring torture and strife.

To ransom our souls His life was given,
Today He is alive from death He is risen.
Our sorrows are transformed into joy once more,
From sin's dark dungeon He's opened the door.

Today He is risen, death no longer we fear,
Now hope and salvation for us is here.
His return gives comfort and brings consolation too,
Knowing it wasn't wasted what He suffered thru.

Crowned with thorns and a cross to bear,
Facing a bloodthirsty crowd's derision and jeer.
Pierced and mailed with sharp thorns and spikes,
Scourged and speared by cruel whips and pikes.

The long dark hours of crucifixion are gone,
Divine mercy has triumphed, today's a new dawn.
Free from the slavery to Satan and sin,
Our hearts are purified by His love within.

Christ in His resurrection will light the way,
And in our hearts His love will stay.
He's lifted our spirit, opened up our mind,
Shown us the path for Heaven to find.

In His divine splendor and majesty and glory,
Christ has brought life to this Easter story.
This is the dawn of His new reign,
Now that He's risen, new life we gain.

Rising from the dead sin's power He defeats,
Divine mercy Has triumphed His divine heart beats.
Sins have been canceled, God's penance is appeased,
Death has been conquered, our fears have ceased.

Now He's enthroned at His Father's right hand
Ruling over all kingdoms that populate this land.
Bringing light to darkness calm to our strife,
Christ is our Savior bringing us eternal life.

On this Easter Sunday we celebrate our rebirth,
And we thank Christ for redeeming sinful earth.
Today Christ is risen, faithful Son of God,
He's also our Redeemer and our loving Lord.
