During Memorial Day weekend some of our teenagers joined other teens of several congregations and churches for a formal dinner/dance in Buffalo, NY. These are some memories that were captured during this event. We hope you enjoy them, and will consider joining us for our upcoming events.
Activities began with a praise and worship service conducted by teens for teens. It was a very inspiring time of worship. Sarah Knaack provided sign-language translation of the worship songs in a uniquely artistic and dance-like style. Teens introduced themselves to each other, and listened to a sermon presented by Martin Koenig, Buffalo Youth Ministry Coordinator. Adult chaperones attended the worship service with the teens and shared this time of worship and fellowship with them.
Worship music was provided by Matthew Knaack (keyboard) and Garret Hussack (drums), both of the Buffalo NY congregation. The experience was moving and inspiring and helped many to appreciate their fellowship with Christ and the importance of prayer in our Christian walk.
Later in the evening, all participants and several of the local families participated to a formal dinner/dance at the Holiday Inn of Hamburg NY. Participants came for the occasion from New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and New York.
Some have even experienced some "sticky" moments, especially after blowing a mega-huge bubble with their gum... (see below).... And, of course, everyone has taken a moment for a final group photo. Everyone reported having shared many good memories and good fellowship.
