I am 50 years old.  Last year in 06/2006, I slipped and fell at work and as a result incurred a back injury.  I was out of work for one year.  I work for the State of Washington and was reassigned to a job in the Cheney area in 07/2007, 300 miles from home, Tacoma, WA.  I took my wife, Jan, and daughter, Anne, with me to the Healing Rooms in Spokane, WA with the hope that my wife and 4 year old daughter would follow me, but this never happened.  She is currently living with her stepfather who has survived her mother, who was wheelchair bound for 20 years, my wife and her stepfather were her primary caretakers.  Her mother  just passed away in 02/2007.  Her stepfather would be alone if she and my daughter were not there in the Tacoma, WA area. She quit her job in 06/2007, and filed for a Divorce on July 06, 2007.  The court hearing is set for 06/17/2007. I do not want to hurt my wife or daughter as I love them very much, but cannot afford to see our daughter's welfare suffer in this scenario.  We endured a 2 year long battle to adopt our daughter, which was just finalized in 06/2006.  I am at a loss as to what I can to stop this divorce process.  My wife's mind is not clear, and she is very depressed.  She appears lost since the passing of her mother. The  events is a follow up to the one I hosted in march 2007 in memory of all the young people that were killed by gang violence in Britain. The theme was a Tear Dropped for every Star That Fell. February's theme is (Endangered Species). We have a cancer in Britain whereby young people are getting involved in gangs and its costing them their lives. May we pray for positive role models for all, may we reach out and touch as many lives as possible. May we all pray that the charity I am starting called Stay Alive International, incorporating Stay Alive UK And Stay Alive Nigeria, would enable me to take this fight to the heart of the problem and to conquer it. I have scheduled a liver biopsy on Thursday Dec. 6th at St. Luke's Hospital in Manhattan. It will be done by my liver specialist; although young he is a highly trained doctor, trained by a world class gastroenterologist. Please pray that no cirrhosis will be found and for quick healing. I will have to remain at the hospital in bed for 6 hours and then rest the next few days. Even though not a major surgery there are risks involved. I also had to stop today taking gout medications and other items; please note the last time I missed 5 days of gout meds I couldn't walk and had to be taken and admitted to the hospital. Praying that I can get through all of this until Thursday morning.
