"A true blessing from the Lord!"
"A time of inspiration and true fellowship in Christ."
"Inspiring, encouraging and a truly unifying experience!"
This is how some have described our Women's Ministry Fellowship Luncheon held on Saturday, November 2 (photos below).

It is truly awesome when we experience the presence of God in our most difficult times. But what an incredible honor it is when He chooses to use us as his instruments to touch someone's life.
Galatians 6:2 charges every one of us to "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Taking this scripture to heart, as members of the Women’s Ministry of the Living Hope Christian Fellowship we decided to plan an afternoon for women from different ethnicities, backgrounds and denominations to come together in one location and praise the name of our Lord and Savior. In Him we wanted to encourage each other and build unity, fellowship and Christian love.
The Women’s Fellowship Luncheon, held on November 2, 2002 at Randall’s Ordinary Inn in Stonington, CT was a great source of inspiration to all of us who attended. We began the afternoon worshipping the Lord with hymns and prayer, and introduced each other with fellowship games. Then we had an opportunity to share our individual experiences in the Lord. To the delight and amazement of many us, what we shared with one another was open and candid. We talked about our walk with the Lord, including the struggles and challenges we have experienced along our journey. As we shared our stories, a sense of love and commitment to Christ became very apparent, and our hearts became filled with joy and thanksgiving. We were joyful for the fact that the vision of this event was realized, but more importantly, we were thankful that all of us who attended could sense the awesome presence of the Lord and of the Holy Spirit. We were greatly blessed!
Jesus did not just ask us to love one another with a sacrificial love, He commanded it! "A new command I give to you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35) It is the display of such love for one another that will attract the unsaved and the unchurched, giving us the opportunity to witness for the Lord (Acts 2:41-47). That same care that we owe to one another in Christ also inspires hope in us and gives us the boldness we need to share our hope and faith.
We hope, in March 2003, to hold another luncheon. We plan to be able to accommodate more women, and to continue to serve as a bridge to those who need and desire the encouragement that only Christ can offer.
We offer our thanks to the heavenly Father for the blessings we received, and to all those who contributed to this event with their presence and participation. Without you and your love for the Lord this would not have been possible. Please, join us in praying for the next event.
May God richly bless each of you, and may the peace of the Holy Spirit rule in your hearts daily.
